Australia is expected to be the first destination to implement the blockbuster “Thor 4: Love & Thunder” (2022) in early 2021.
During an online chat with Serena Williams on Instagram, Natalie Portman revealed plans for Thor 4: Love & Thunder. The actress said the fourth blockbuster of the Thunder God (Chris Hemsworth) of the MCU is expected to begin filming early next year.
“We have not recorded yet. I would have more time to practice. It would be very difficult, but I am extremely excited,” Portman shared. “We will go to Australia to film in early 2021. Diseases could make things change. But it is the current plan.”
Taika Waititi would continue making Thor 4: Love & Thunder. Before that, the New Zealand filmmaker had made Thor: Ragnarok (2017). In the movie three years ago, the character Jane Foster of Natalie Portman has not appeared.
Waititi said Jane Foster would become the female version of Thor in Thor 4: Love & Thunder. “I think the movie will be interesting. I have built the script for over a year,” the director once shared with the BBC.
The return of Jane Foster surprised the public when they publish this information during the San Diego Comic-Con event in the summer of 2019. Previously, during the implementation of Thor: The Dark World (2013 ), between Portman and Marvel Studios had a controversy about the director position.
After the movie, Jane Foster has been absent on the screen for 6 years. The female doctor only returned as a cameo in Avengers: Endgame (2019). However, those scenes were not new footage. They were the recording of Thor: The Dark World.
According to the latest plan, Thor 4: Love & Thunder is scheduled to open from March 25, 2022. After Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019), due to the impact of the disease, the audience could not watch more new movies from the MCU. Most recently, there has been a schedule that Black Widow would have a debut on November 6, after being delayed for release in May.
