During the promotion for the movie “Fast & Furious 9”, the cast remembered the contributions of the deceased actor Paul Walker.
On January 31, the cast in Fast & Furious 9 were in Miami, Florida, USA to promote the film. The event was attended by movie stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris, Ludacris, Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Sung Kang and director Justin Lin.
At the event, Vin Diesel and Sung Kang reiterated the great contribution of Paul Walker during the making of Fast & Furious.
Vin Diesel thanked his deceased colleague for guiding him on the right path. The actor was moved: “Paul Walker was the very important person that made me decide to become a father. He was the one who adviced me to go to the hospital to had surgery to get well soon. He was also the only person in California who knew that I was going to have a child.”
“Skinhead guy” Vin Diesel and Walker had a close relationship. When his best friend died, Diesel took the name “Paul” to his third daughter born in 2015. Vin was also the godfather of Meadow – the daughter of Paul Walker.
For director Justin Lin, Paul Walker was a great partner. He shared his memories with Paul: “Paul appeared on studio in the early days to shoot the chase scenes. Sometimes I knew he’s very tired but Paul always smiled and said that he was okay. That made me realize I had just found a great partner. But unfortunately, he left too soon.”
Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris also appeared during the film promotion. Both are the faces who have appeared throughout all Fast & Furious seasons. Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris were loved by the audience via humorous spar between two funny characters Roman – Tej.
Actress Nathalie Emmanuel played the hacker Ramsey in season 9 of this famous series. Before that, the actress appeared in Fast & Furious 7 (2015).
Jordana Brewster also returns as Mia in F9. Mia is the wife of Brian O’Conner – the character of Paul Walker and they had a break-up in part 7. The return of Mia sparked rumors that Brian would also return thanks to acting of the Walker siblings and the technical skills, which the crew used to apply to the unfinished scenes of Fast & Furious 7.
F9 adds John Cena. He plays Jakob, the younger brother of Dominic Toretto and he is also the main villain in the film.
F9: The Fast Saga is scheduled to debut on May 22.
